Jones & DeMille Engineering provided design services for the US-191 realignment project.
The project was delivered as a public-private partnership between UDOT and Simplot, recognizing the shared benefit to both the traveling public and ongoing mining operations.
Jones & DeMille Engineering services included roadway design, topographic surveying, right-of-way design, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis to support drainage infrastructure, including culverts, channels, energy dissipation features, and detention basins. The project also included design of a runaway truck ramp and implementation of deep dynamic compaction.
Jones & DeMille Engineering worked closely with Simplot to coordinate design with active mining operations and ensure long-term performance of both the roadway and drainage systems.
